Hi! I'm Gina!
It has become my passion to help children and families gain the understanding and skills to effectively manage life's big feelings.
Outside of the office, I am a mama, wife, daughter, friend, and neighbor. I am just like you, and experience the same chaos and confusion! I welcome a truly transparent relationship with my clients, and hope that throughout our working relationship, you feel open to being real and raw.
As a counselor, Gina Witte strives to meet her clients where they are in their development, healing, and understanding of themselves. You are the expert on you! She believes that therapy must be a collaborative process, and prides herself on building a strong, trusting, therapeutic relationship with those she serves. At the end of the day, Gina is just a friendly face with eager, listening ears, who spent a few years learning how to better help others!
Since the end of her graduate program, Gina has worked in both the outpatient and partial hospitalization setting. She especially enjoys the working relationship that is developed in outpatient therapy, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with the support system of the client when possible. Gina believes that the best therapy occurs when everyone is involved!
When working with children, Gina enjoys using play and other expressive therapies. However clients of all ages have been found to benefit from these techniques! Gina's primary modality of treatment when working with adolescents and adult clientele is person-centered and based in attachment theory. Gina also has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and references DBT skills when appropriate.
